Privacy Policy for AutoPin: Parked Car Finder

This privacy policy governs your use of the mobile application AutoPin: Parked Car Finder ("the Application"), developed by wolfmoon Digital

The Application is designed to help users easily save, track, and locate their parked vehicle using device location services.

 1. Information Collection and Use

A. Location Data (Core Functionality)

To provide its core service—helping you find your parked car—the Application requires access to your device's precise location (GPS and network-based).

Foreground use: Your location is accessed when you manually save a parking spot or navigate back to it.

Background use (Auto-Detect feature):

 If you enable the optional "Auto-Detect Parking" feature (available in Pro), the Application continuously monitors your GPS speed in the background to automatically detect when your vehicle has stopped and save your parking location.

Storage: 

All location data is stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit your coordinates to any external server.

 B. Address Resolution (Reverse Geocoding)

When a parking location is saved, the Application converts your GPS coordinates into a human-readable address using your device's built-in geocoding service (provided by the Android operating system). This may involve a request to Google's geocoding servers as part of the standard Android geocoding API.

 C. Photos (Optional)

If you choose to attach a photo to your parking session, the image is stored locally on your device and never uploaded to any server.

 2. Third-Party Services

Google Play Services:

OpenStreetMap:

Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap servers when you view the map. Your IP address may be visible to OpenStreetMap tile servers as part of standard web requests. [OpenStreetMap Privacy Policy](https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy)

The Application contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs or collect any Advertising IDs.

 3. Data Storage & Security

All parking data (locations, timestamps, photos, notes) is stored exclusively in your device's local storage using an encrypted local database.

 We do not operate any servers or cloud infrastructure that stores your personal data.

 Uninstalling the Application permanently deletes all stored data.

4. User Rights & Controls

Location permissions:

 You can revoke location access at any time via Android Settings → Apps → AutoPin → Permissions. Doing so will disable the app's core functionality.

Background location:

 You can disable background location access separately in Android Settings, which will disable the Auto-Detect feature while keeping manual pinning functional.

*Data deletion:

 Go to Settings → Clear All Data within the app, or uninstall the app to erase all data permanently.

5. Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

 6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
